18+ Changemaker Adventure

Are you over 18, intrepid, adventurous and looking for something extraordinary to experience? Do you care about people and planet and want to make a difference in the world? Do you want to meet other people with drive and passion similar to yours to make a difference with? Then come to The Hive and put your passion and ingenuity to work designing regenerative solutions to global challenges. “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” Buckminster Fuller. Spend either 2 or 5 weeks with The Hive team discovering the area, meeting local people and seeing first hand how global issues affect people and nature on a local level. You'll learn to self-, and co-regulate, build relationships and take action with, not for others. We will support you to figure out the best way for YOU to be the difference the world needs. Hive Practitioner Training

Are you looking to homeschool, unschool, worldschool or have an interest in independent, progressive education? Then this immersive, 5- day Human Hive Learning training is for you. We will dive deep into what it means to be a self-regulating practitioner. We will learn how to self-regulate and co-regulate so that we can support those around us to become well-regulated, grounded, confident learners and human beings. We will look at the research and theory underpinning self-regulation and self-regulated learning, design co-regulating activities and put them to the test with the local & Hive community. It's a fully experiential week. You will learn new skills, make new friends and leave with a more well-regulated nervous system.

Ocean Heroes Camp

"The sustainability of our oceans are under severe threat!" UN

In 2015, the United Nations agreed on 17 Sustainable Development Goals - a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all - to be achieved by 2030.

SDG 14 is about "Life Below Water". The UN's mission statement is to "conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development".

During the 3 weeks spent at The Hive, your children will engage with SDG 14 through a variety of different activities and learn all about Life Below Water through our unique self-directed learning model.

We will spend lots of time in rivers and the ocean, meeting the wildlife and those who care for them.

Nature Heroes / Happiness Heroes Camps

" A flourishing life on land is the foundation for our life on this planet.We are all part of the planet’s ecosystem and we have caused severe damage to it through deforestation, loss of natural habitats and land degradation. Promoting a sustainable use of our ecosystems and preserving biodiversity is not a cause. It is the key to our own survival." UN

We will meet real-life nature heroes; local people working in regenerative ways to protect and restore the eco-system.

From cacao and coconut farmers to local environmentalists, we will be inspired by their work and come up with ideas of our own to be a nature hero.

Build Your Own Hive Adventure

When we create community around a shared passion, something magic happens. You simply tell us who you are and what your goals are and we design your perfect Hive Adventure with you. Yoga kulas, home-school coops, church groups, worldschool communities, extended families. Any group that wants to come together around a shared passion and bring the kids along for the ride is who we are here for. Our philosophy at The Human Hive is with, not for. So let us build this adventure WITH you.

This is a truly bespoke offering so book a call with Kate and she will listen to what your dreams are and then the team will do everything in their power to make them come true.
Roughly 9 families is the minimum and 18 families is the maximum (there's wriggle room, let's talk!). Perfect for a yoga teacher training/group coaching residential. You can run your programme at the community housing and we will look after the kids and teach them really cool stuff all day long!

6-week Hive Changemaker Adventure

Big challenges need bold action to overcome them, and that is where the Global Goals come in. They are a plan agreed to by all world leaders to build a greener, fairer, better world by 2030, and we all have a role in achieving them." At The Hive your family will become active participants in designing and executing their own ideas to contribute to the Global Goals and leave a legacy of change. You will all become changemakers equipped with the skills, knowledge and relationships you need to be the change you want to see in the world. Cost per child is $1295 for our Hive Essentials Package (no bus, no food) or $1875 all included. (includes daily activities 8.30 - 2.30 Mon-Fri).
